The Lighting Industry Association’s Code of Practice
Premier Decorations is accredited to The Lighting Industry Association’s Code of Practice (LACOP) for the Safety of Luminaires utilising the experience of the largest trade association for Luminiaires.
Annual inspection/audit of suppliers and training of appropriate staff is carried out to the requirements of this Code of Practice. This provides essential assessment for all matters relating to product safety, quality control during manufacturing, final inspection and testing. It also covers the maintenance of records appropriate to these aims.
Premier Decorations is accredited to the requirements of the TOYCRED standard for the Safety of Toys.
ToyCred accreditation requires Premier to have appropriate systems in place to demonstrate compliance with all relevant safety legislation and more. Accrediation to the ToyCred standard confirms that we, as an organisation, are taking all necessary steps to ensure the products that we place in the market are safe.
It also means that we are aware of our responsibilities and can prove that we have complied with administrative requirements by law.
SALES & MARKETING
At Premier we use packaging to market the company image. Everything is designed for purpose! Special attention is paid to the product photography to ensure that item usage is properly illustrated. Different ranges may be displayed in boxes, but the corporate brand logos and basic styling follow through all.
The aim when packaging our products is to make lively attractive boxes that really jump off the shelves, whilst carefully protecting the products within. During 2007 Premier introduced special WIGIG (When It’s Gone It’s Gone) offers and new ‘DRIVE-BUYS’ product offers. Mailed out during the year, these provide our customers with the latest price offers as well as introducing new products to the market place as soon as they are available.
As an added service we are able to provide Customers with images of product that they have ordered from us. Our sales support team will provide the correct images to suit customers needs, whether it be for presentations, printed literature or websites. This saves customers time and money arranging their own photography.

Although we only sell our products to Trade Customers, we have set up a Consumer Services Helpline to answer any queries that you may have regarding Premier products.
This department is also able to sell Replacement Bulbs and Transformers etc. for Premier’s electrical products and any spare parts needed for our BBQs / Chimneas etc. from the Summer range.

FAR EAST OFFICES
At this time of change, with many obstacles and hurdles being put in the way of successful retailing, we at Premier have studied the market trends, our design and production processes, to ensure that we do everything we can to get popular products to fill your shelves and aisles.
In addition to our Hong Kong base, our Buying Office and Sister Company in the Far East are now firmly established in new larger offices in China, near the main Guangzhou East Train Station. This allows the fully structured Merchandising, Quality Control and Quality Assurance Teams along with Shipping/Logistics and overall Management Team to work together in one location.
We have also been able to open a huge new Showroom area over two floors. This houses many product ranges including Premier’s Christmas, Summer and Halloween.
Being in the Far East and close to many of our suppliers, this office enables us to work to certain ethical standards.
All Factories and Suppliers are evaluated using internationally recognised compliance standards covering child labour, discrimination, corruption, wages and benefits, working hours and conditions, environmental issues and health and safety. Something that is of vital importance to us here at Premier.
This Office works with our own team of people in the UK to offer advanced planning and scheduling services through the sourcing and production cycles. There are manufacturing control systems in place to monitor the progress of production and keep everyone informed of any modifications or changes to the original plans.
